First NRP 76 project completed: results now available
A review of the role of forensic medicine shows how it shaped the practice of taking children into care in the 19th and 20th centuries.
The results of the first completed NRP 76 project are now available: this research project explores the development of the psychiatric expert report in civil and criminal courts in two Swiss cantons between 1760 and 1910. The study highlights the key role played by forensic psychiatry in the development of coercive social measures.
